Diverse Shopfitters were asked to fit out the Vodafone outlet in Fremantle. There were a number of significant challenges during the planning and implementation of the project. The most complicated challenge was to implement the designs, whilst adhering to the strict regulations of a building with a heritage listing.
The age of the building also presented a number of logistical challenges. This outlet is situated on a narrow and crowded mall, so access to the site was limited. Due to the retail nature of this mall, works could only be completed outside of normal trading hours. Finally, all aspects of the fit out had to comply with Vodafone’s stringent branding guidelines.
In order to complete the project within the budget and on time, a Scope of Works and timeline was presented with the client at the start of the process. Once the scope was accepted, all required items were manufactured. This allowed the project to be conducted as quickly as possible. By communicating effectively with the local council and the Heritage Council, Diverse Shopfitters were able to gain the required approvals whilst creating the cabinets and other fitout materials.
Due to Diverse Shopfitters’ creative approach to solving the issues at hand, the project was completed on time, and within the required budget. The construction and installation took into account the special needs of the project, and complied with the guidelines set out by the franchisor. The outcome is an inviting, attractive and highly functional retail outlet.
