Melbourne's iconic chocolatier comes to Perth

The Koko Black stores in Melbourne are a mecca for foodies in-the-know looking for something to satisfy their sweet tooth. Diverse Shopfitters were thrilled to be awarded the Koko Black fitout and have been able to deliver a taste of Melbourne to Claremont, Western Australia.

The store fitout was challenging on a number of levels. All refrigeration equipment was custom designed in Melbourne and transported for installation to the new store in Perth. The joinery and cabinetry was manufactured in Perth to specifications supplied and delivery and installation was coordinated between multiple parties to ensure a successful outcome.

The store features polished stone benchtops and working surfaces to provide easy cleaning and long lasting durability. Stainless steel and glass display cabinets have a contemprary modern feel and show the various chocolate products in the best possible light, while wood and brass fixtures impart an air of elegance and luxury from days past. Tiled mosaics at the entry points add a touch of detail.

A glass viewing area at the front of the store gives visitors a chance to see the skilled chocolatiers in action before making their selections from the treats on offer. Furniture throughout the store gives visitors a choice of intimate niches for couples or tables for groups, both delivering a comfortable, relaxing experience.

Diverse Shopfitters coordinated the entire fitout in conjunction with Koko Black management to deliver a signature store environment that brings a little bit of Melbourne to Perth.
